Popular Nigerian actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has urged intending couples, not to be deterred by current terrible stories about marriage.

She said this while commenting on the debate over the death of Osinachi Nwachukwu, the gospel singer, and domestic violence in marriages.

It will be recalled that Osinachi passed away at an Abuja hospital last Friday at the age of 42.

Her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, her now-embattled husband was alleged of domestic violence, beating the late Osinachi often.

It was believed she had died of throat cancer but her colleagues claim it may be attached to an alleged assault by her husband, who is now being investigated by the police.

Omotola, through her Instagram story, disclosed that fortunate marriages still exist and enjoined those planning to tie the knot not to be scared.

Her post read: “I know that there are many horrid stories about marriage that screams loud. But I don’t know who needs to hear this… fear not,” she wrote.

“For every bad marriage that makes the news, there are over a thousand very loving and prosperous marriages that don’t.”
