The Minister of State for Science and Technology, Barrister Mohammed Abdullahi, said that the ministry will continue to support scientific research.
Abdullahi said this when he received the Directors of the Mammals Conservation Project in his office on Friday in Abuja.
He said that the ministry is well poised to support pure and applied scientific research, adding that this will form the bedrock of scientific development in the country.
He emphasized the need for a Research and Development (R&D) funding platform to aid the funding of scientific research in the country.
He assured the Directors of the Mammals Conservation Project, that the Ministry will always support scientific activities that will benefit the country.
Earlier, the Director of Conservation at the Mammals Conservation Project, Mr. Benneth Obitte, said that his organisation is seeking to build the goal of building an infrastructure of basic scientific research in the country.
