Nigerian President, Muhammad Bukhari called on the African Union countries to find sustainable solutions to the crisis that Libya is going through.

He said this while delivering his speech in the third edition of the African Conference for the Promotion of Peace, which was held in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Bukhari expressed his hope that the current president of the African Union, Macky Sall, would refocus attention during the upcoming summit on finding sustainable solutions to the Libyan crisis.

The Nigerian president noted that despite the victory in the war on terror, they as a country were still negatively affected by the events in Libya, the Central African Republic, the Sahel region and the war in Ukraine.
