Ahead of the 2023 African Cup of Nations, host Elephant of Coted’Ivoire has unveiled its final squad for the competition.
The head coach of the team, Jean Louis Gasset made the official announcement on Thursday and the biggest omission was the Galatasaray winger Wilfred Zaha.
The former Crystal Palace winger was initially accused of selecting the games he plays for the Ivorian.
The 2015 Champions is placed in group A alongside Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
Their opening game will be against Djurtus of Guinea Bissau on the 13th of January, 2024.
