With a month to the start of the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, Mambas of Mozambique has cancelled the proposed International friendly match against the group opponent of Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The Federation of Mozambique Football had initially organised a warm-up game against the host country Coted’Ivoire.
The football body on Wednesday announced the cancellation of the game and no reason was given for the cancellation.
The Federation of Ivory Coast Football has begun the search for a new opponent.
The Elephants are scheduled to resume close camp on the 2nd of January, 2024 in San Pedro.
Super Eagles of Nigeria and Ivory Coast will face off in the second group match of the competition.
