2023 Afrocan: Kenya Blow D’Tigers Away


Nigeria’s D’Tigers on Friday suffered another defeat in the ongoing 2023 Afrocan championship in Luanda Angola.

The Nigerian side on Thursday crashed out of the competition after losing to the 2019 champions DR Congo in the quarter-final 74-72.

They faced Kenya in the classification game on Friday and suffered another narrow defeat.

The game demonstrated two teams of equal strength but it was Kenya that won the opening quarter 20-13.

D’Tigers came back to clinch the 2nd quarter 18-11 and also won the 3rd quarter 13-11.

But Kenya bounced back strongly in the final quarter to win 17-15 and secured a 61-59 win over Nigeria.
