With a semifinal ticket in the pocket, Edo Queens are assured of $350,000 (over 500 million naira) in prize money from the organiser, Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) champions led the group with seven points, winning 3-0 against CBE in their opening match, drawing with Egyptian club FC Masar in the second, and defeating Sundowns in the final group games.
Emem Essien and Mary Mamudu’s late goals helped Edo Queens defeat the defending champions on Saturday night, earning a place in the semi-finals.

Nigerians celebrated Edo Queens and Chidinma for putting the Sun down on South Africans.

Having secured a spot in the semi-finals, Edo Queens are assured of $350,000. The champions will receive $600,000 (one trillion naira), while the runners-up will take home $400,000.
The third-place team will also earn $350,000, in addition to other monetary incentives.

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa sent a big warning to the management of the Edo Queens as they are guaranteed $300,000 (over 500 million) in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
Edo Queens will face TP Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of Congo in the semi-finals on Tuesday.
