Barely 8 months to the end of the year, the African soccer ruling is set to decide on the two major competitions slated for the year.

Morocco is touted to be the host for the 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations but awareness and hype seem to have gone down since the country secured the hosting right of the 2025 African Cup of Nations.

Some certain sections believe that the women’s tournament will not come up again this year while some are expecting a change in host.

The trio of Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda who have been handed the hosting right of the 2027 African Cup of Nations have also been handed the hosting right of the 2024 Championship of African Nations ( CHAN).

But up till now the draw and qualifiers are yet to be decided upon and the situation is suggesting that the competition may be cancelled again.

CAF on Tuesday morning confirmed that it would hold a crucial meeting on the 19th of April, 2024 to decide the fate of the two tournaments.
