Pioneer Executive Chairman Gombe State Sports Commission, Malam Farouk Yarma (FNIOB) has sent his congratulations, as he splashed a token sum of ₦100, 000 on Munyal Simon Kwairanga.

Munyal Kwairanga, Gombe State sole athlete at the National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State claimed three Gold medals in the Gymnastics.

The 13-year-old Munyal came out tops as the overall best with a spectacular performance, winning the Vault and also the Floor events.

“I would like to take a moment to congratulate Munyal Simon Kwairanga, an exceptional emerging athlete who made Gombe State proud in the Nigerian Youth Game in Asaba.

“Her remarkable achievements not only showcase her dedication and talent but also highlight the immense potential within our community.

“To honor her outstanding performance, I am thrilled to announce that my company, Prudential Sport Limited—a fully registered sports management firm—will be presenting Munyal with a token of appreciation worth One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000).

This grant will be processed through the Chairman of the Gombe State Sports Writers Association (SWAN).

“Kudos to Munyal’s parents for their unwavering support throughout her journey! However, we must ask ourselves: how can we sustain her momentum and ensure her continued success in the sport.

“It is concerning that Munyal is currently the sole representative from Gombe State at the National Youth Games, especially when other states send delegations of 150 to 300 young athletes.

This discrepancy highlights a pressing need for sports administrators in Gombe State to critically assess its sports sector.
