2026 World Cup Qualifier: South Africa To Play Mini Tournament Ahead Clash With Nigeria


Ahead of the match day 3 of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the Bafana Bafana of South Africa has started preparation for the doubleheader against Nigeria.

South Africa commenced the qualifier on a strong note by beating the Cheetah of Benin 2-0 only to falter against the Amavubi of Rwanda by the same scoreline.

The team head coach Hugo Broos and the South Africa Football Association have sealed a deal to be involved in a mini-tournament involving Bolivia, Algeria and Albania.

The tournament has been scheduled to take place from March 19th to 26th 2024 in Algeria.
