Manchester United’s matchday squad to take on Real Sociedad was unveiled a short time ago, featuring a number of noteworthy takeaways.
Reds in control
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are set to get their European campaign back underway shortly.
The Red Devils are primed to face off with La Liga outfit Real Sociedad at Old Trafford, in the 2nd of a pair of Europa League Last-32 meetings.
It is of course hosts United who will head into proceedings as landslide favourites to book their spot in the competition’s next round, on the back of a comprehensive victory last week.
Goals from Bruno Fernandes (2), Marcus Rashford and Dan James saw the Premier League powerhouse emerge on the right side of a 4-0 scoreline at the Juventus Stadium in Turin.

No rest for Bruno
As such, ahead of kick-off this evening, the widespread assumption was that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would opt to rest the majority of his key performers, whilst handing an opportunity to more fringe stars, and potentially even a couple of youngsters.
And, to his credit, the Norwegian has called up a number of exciting starlets, with Amad Diallo and Shola Shoretire again included.
Also handed a rare first-team berth, meanwhile, is 19-year-old midfielder Ethan Galbraith, amid a fine spell of form at youth level.
The one surprise inclusion in not only United’s squad, but the club’s starting XI, however, comes in the form of Bruno Fernandes:

Portuguese creator Fernandes has of course been heavily depended on as a source of goals and creativity alike by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season, and, after netting twice against Sociedad a week ago today, played the full 90 minutes versus Newcastle over the weekend.
As such, with a Premier League meeting with Chelsea on the horizon for United, his inclusion from the off this evening has come as a major surprise, with the Red Devils faithful having since made their feelings regarding the decision crystal clear:
