Griezmann gutted over CL exit
Barcelona were knocked out of the Champions League last-16 against PSG after suffering a 5-2 aggregate defeat.
The French forward Antoine Griezmann was unable to get on the scoresheet and help his side, but spoke after the match about how the French capital club were vulnerable and his side did not take their chances against a stubborn Keylor Navas in goal.
“They didn’t know how to defend,” he said. “There is this incredible goal from Leo and then the penalty. But Navas was amazing.

“We played a big game, especially in the first half. We can have regrets about going there. It’s a shame but that’s how it is, this is football, this is the Champions League.
“We have [Messi], we have possession, we knew we were going to have chances but we didn’t know how to put them [away]. There is still a long way to go to finish the season.”
Griezmann’s indication that there is still a long way to go is in reference to the fact that Barcelona will play Athletic Club in the Copa del Rey final and have also the title challenge against Atletico Madrid to chase further.
Arsenal ready for Griezmann
This could end up being the Frenchman’s final season in Spain if he chooses to leave the club in the summer. With the appointment of Joan Laporta as the new President of the club there is elements of uncertainty around plenty of the first team setup.
The biggest questions of course around that of Lionel Messi and his future but the £100 million+ signing of Griezmann from Atletico Madrid has not exactly been matched through output.
Dario Gol are claiming that Arsenal are in the running to poach the French forward should the club deem him expendable and look to move him on at the end of the current campaign.

Arsenal will have a number of decisions to make in their front line with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah both having just a year left on their deals and not playing regularly in the first team.
Both players could decide to move on from the club in the summer and Arsenal may look to fill that spot with the experienced Barcelona forward.
However, with Griezmann’s contract ending in 2024, it would seemingly take a significant fee for Arsenal to bring in the French international.
