Nigeria will pick a ticket in the upcoming qualifiers to feature in the female category of Beach Volleyball in the Paris 2024 Olympics Games, Musa Nimrod, the President, Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), assured on Thursday.

Nimrod also said in Abuja that the team had been in camp since Monday to prepare ahead of the qualifiers in Morocco.

According to him, the team will train to defeat their opponents and pick the ticket at the qualifiers in Morocco.

“The girls are determined to make the federation and country proud to participate in Olympics.

“They are vibrant young girls, they are ready to put all their efforts to make sure they defeat any team that come in their way.

“They were defeated by Kenya an Egypt in African Games in Ghana, but this time around they will give a good fight to beat any team so that they can pick a ticket for the Olympics,’’ he said.

He assured that the team of young players would qualify for the 2024 Olympics in spite of “several challenges’’.

He said the team would undergo a West Africa tour to intensify training ahead of Paris 2024 games.

“The preparation is on; we will be going on West African tour next week. They will be going to Accra, Ghana; Lome, Cotonou and then back to Badagry for their final camping.

“We are hoping that, this time around, our team will be there to represent the country in Paris 2024 Olympics,’’ he said.
