Former Nigeria’s Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has stated that the English Premier League side Chelsea is presently going through a massive transition but believes they will be fine at last.
The skilful midfielder was part of the history-maker for the team after joining them in 2006 from Lyn Oslo in Norway.
He played a major in the team winning their first UEFA Champions League in 2012 and also Europa League in 2013.
He returned to the club’s home ground at Stamford Bridge last weekend and took part in the legendary game against Bayern Munich.
Mikel was asked about the present situation of the team and he admitted that the club have good young players.
“They will be fine, obviously they are going through a massive transition and we need to give them time.
“They have fantastic young players presently and they will be alright”, he said.
