The Black Challenge had to come from a goal down after conceding the first goal in the 14th minute through a header from Mustapha Halwid.

Ghana, however, began their comeback after Mubarak Mohammed converted from the penalty spot after a foul b the goalkeeper of the Moroccan side in the second half.

The game ended in a draw and went into an extra time of 20 minutes to find a winner, and Ghana needed only 5 minutes to find the winner via another Mubarak Mohammed goal; this time from a free kick.
