Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has urged French ligue one club Girondin Bordeaux to give Nigeria international Samuel Kalu proper supervision, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Kalu who joined the French side few season back from the Belgium Jupiler League side Gent have been having a consistent injury woes which has further hampered his contribution to the team.
While speaking to France news outlet, Rohr recognised that Kalu is a good player but need to overcome his injury problem to attain his full potential.
“I hope he is well supervised on all levels, mentally, medically and sportwise. Every time he plays with me he’s good, but it’s true that this season has been rotten with injuries”
“I hope he can help the Girondins in the end of the season fixture.”
“He was also a bit lonely without his family in Bordeaux. He lacked a little family support but it’s going to get better and better,” he said.
Kalu is expected to be back in the Super Eagles for the upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifier later in the year.
