Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman has provided a fitness update on Pedri, ahead of the club’s showdown with Sevilla.
Copa clash
The Blaugrana are set to return to action tomorrow evening, in a crunch Copa del Rey semi-final 2nd-leg matchup.
Barca will head into proceedings at the Camp Nou with it all to do, having been condemned to a deserved 2-0 defeat in the tie’s opener early last month.
Strikes from Jules Kounde and ex-Barcelona man Ivan Rakitic at the Sanchez Pizjuan saw Sevilla put one foot in April’s Copa final.
Wednesday’s hosts, however, will likely be confident in their chances of turning things around in 24 hours’ time.
This comes with Koeman and co. having actually faced off with Sevilla in La Liga over the weekend, eventually emerging on the right side of a 2-0 scoreline:
It took him two bites at it, but Messi finishes to all but seal the win for Barca! 🔵🔴

‘Can be on the list’
A similar result on Wednesday would of course prove enough to guide Barca at least to extra-time, keeping alive the club’s slim hopes of securing some form of silverware this season.
And, ahead of the fast-approaching clash, the Blaugrana’s chances have today been boosted.
This comes in the form of an injury update on midfielder Pedri.
18-year-old Pedri, who has come into his own in Ronald Koeman’s ranks in the middle of the park of late, was forced off versus Sevilla at the weekend, after picking up what appeared to be an ankle problem.
In turn, when the starlet was spotted on crutches post-match, the Barcelona faithful understandably feared the worst:

Remarkably, however, when drawn on Pedri’s condition during a press conference this evening, Koeman went on to confirm that the Spanish U21 international has returned to individual training, and therefore looks set to be part of the club’s matchday squad on Wednesday night:
‘There are things that cannot be explained.’
‘Yesterday afternoon I was surprised. He did individual training and today he had no problems.’
‘We’ll see in tomorrow’s training session. I think he can be on the list.’
