Man City’s Raheem Sterling apologises to FPL fans after poor double gameweek

Man City continue to dominate

Manchester City continued their dominance over the English top-flight on Tuesday evening.

The Sky Blues faced off with Wolves, heading into the clash as clear favourites as they looked to notch their 21st win in a row in all competitions.

And when all was said and done at the Etihad, that is exactly what the Manchester powerhouse managed.

Conor Coady cancelled out Man City’s opening goal 61 minutes in. However, the result never really looked in doubt, with the Citizens completely dominating the tie and eventually coming away with a 4-1 win thanks to a Gabriel Jesus brace and a Riyad Mahrez strike.

Sterling apologises to FPL fans

Whilst City’s win over Wolves brought to an end a very successful double game week for them, it probably didn’t go as well as most FPL fans were hoping.

With Man City of course dominating the league right now, the majority of FPL fans will have likely had two or three City stars in their sides for this double game week, with many no doubt captaining/triple captaining a City player.

However, the majority of the popular City FPL assets actually didn’t do that well.

Joao Cancelo would pick up just two points across the week, Ilkay Gundogan notched just six, whilst Raheem Sterling also garnered a measly two points.

And now, the latter of that trio has taken to Instagram to apologise to FPL fans:

It just wouldn’t go in sorry for the FPL points
