Manchester United fail to score for third game in the row as held in the fog at Crystal Palace

Bore Draw

Manchester United and Crystal Palace played out one of the worst games of the Premier League season as they drew 0-0 in the fog at Selhurst Park.

For the third time in a row Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s men failed to score and with the Manchester Derby up next, Pep Guardiola’s team will have seen nothing tonight to make them think their 21 game winning streak is at risk. However we all know form often goes out the window in derbies.

The draw was probably a fair result as United had lots of possession but failed to threaten. Crystal Palace were very well organised and defended excellently. However, they lacked an attacking edge, as they so often do with star man Wilfired Zaha.

Speaking post match on Sky Sports Gary Neville expressed his concern that Man Utd recent performances maybe a cause for concern.

United’s attacking options, even without Antony Martial who was missing tonight, are too good to go three games without scoring.

Bruno Fernandes, who has been the catalyst of so much of Man Utd’s success this season, and Marcus Rashford have played a lot of football this season and they look tired. Even a returning Edinson Cavani couldn’t spur them on tonight.

Solskjaer admitted in his post match interview that United were flat tonight. He will be hoping that his team get their spark back sooner rather than later .
