The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has extended the registration process for the 2024 Federation Cup by two weeks.
In a circular to all Football Association Secretaries dated 30th November, 2023, signed by Ruth David, Acting Director of Competitions indicates that late registration will attract a penalty.
The federation however did not indicate the date for the commencement of the state preliminaries and finals of the oldest football competition in the country.
Also, the football body pegged the registration fee at N150,000 for men’s teams and N100,000 for the women’s teams while late registration will attract N200,000 and N120,000 for men and women teams respectively.
Recall that Bendel Insurance were crowned champions of the 2023 FA Cup after a 1-0 victory over traditional rivals Rangers.
The competition is a single elimination knockout tournament featuring 74 teams from the 36 states and one team from the FCT after all clubs have qualifed from their respective states.
