Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke on Sunday hosted the duo of Osun State born, Super Falcons Stars, Rasheedat Ajibade and Rofiat Imuran.
The event was held at the State House. The governor via his verified Twitter handle made this known as he wrote, “This morning (Sunday), I received Osun State born Nigeria Super Falcons players, Rasheedat Ajibade and Rofiat Imuran. I commended their efforts during their time in the tournament and restated our commitment to the growth of the girl-child and sport development in Osun State.”
Super Falcons duo Rasheedat Ajibade and Rofiat Imuran have risen to the top of the social media trends.
During the visit, Rasheedat Ajibade and Rofiat Imuran gift Governor Adeleke jerseys.
Ajibade who featured in three of the four Super Falcons games presented Governor Adeleke with an Atletico Madrid jersey.
The Super Falcons duo were received by the Governor who is the uncle of American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer David Adedeji Adeleke OON, professionally known as Davido.
The Atletico Madrid jersey Ajibade gave the governor had the name Adeleke and the number 01.
Rofiat Imuran on the other hand presented Governor Adeleke with a Super Falcons jersey with her name.
Despite her exploits with Stade de Reims in France, Imuran opted to give the governor an away Super Falcons jersey.
The visit of Super Falcons star Ajibade and Imuran comes after Governor Adeleke celebrated D’Tigress star Olawuyi Adenike Olayemi for making Nigeria proud as part of the team that won the 2023 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket title.
