Star to Isolate

PSG have confirmed that Moise Kean, on loan from Everton, has tested positive for Covid-19 this morning today.

As a result of the positive test, Kean will have to self-isolate and remain away from the club’s facilities until he supplies a negative test.

He is likely to miss Ligue 1 games against Bordeaux and Brest and potentially the second leg of PSG’s round of 16 Champions League tie with Barcelona.

The first leg was a glorious night for PSG as they dispatched Barcelona 4-1 away at the Nou Camp. The Parisian team were without Neymar and Angel Di Maria, but a Kylian Mbappe hattrick and a Kean goal meant they were barely missed.

The Italian has been in fine form for PSG this season, scoring 15 goals in 27 games after a subdued first season at Everton, in which he only scored twice in 31 appearances.

Neymar may return

Should Kean miss the second leg, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino may be able to welcome back Neymar according to Marca.

The report says that Neymar is already back on the training pitch and that the club is monitoring his progress ahead of their game with Barcelona on the 10th March.

The temptation to rest him for a game that they are in full control of will be strong, but Neymar will no doubt want to play against his former employer.
