Super Eagles right-back, Tyronne Ebuehi was on top his game on Monday afternoon as Empoli edge Salernitana in a thrilling Serie A encounter at the Carlo Castellani Stadium.
Ebuehi bagged two assists as Empoli overcome stubborn and hard-fighting Salernitana who have Nigeria Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong in their ranks.
Ebuehi first set-up Cambiaghi for the game’s and Empoli’s opener in the 37th minutes.
He then assisted Caputo who put Empoli to goals up in the 63rd minutes.
Piatek halved the deficit for the visitors 4 minutes from time as the game finished 2-1 in favor of Empoli.
The win moved Empoli to 14th on the log, 3 points and a place above Salernitana.
Meanwhile Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong was an unused substitute in the fixture.
