Super Eagles Will Return To Abuja Soon – Minister of Sports

Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has reiterated that the Super Eagles will play some of their World Cup qualifying games at the Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja.

The 60,000 capacity stadium has been neglected before Sunday Dare through the private public partnership initiative got top Nigeria businessmen to partner with government to rehabilitate the National Stadium, Surulere Lagos and Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

Sunday Dare while speaking said, renovation of Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja and the Surulere stadium in Lagos has been one of the top priority of the Ministry of Sports. And now both stadiums are been renovated and ready to be delivered.”

“It will be my joy seeing Super Eagles playing at the Surulere stadium because that will be historical. That was the home of our national teams. Also, MKO Abiola Stadium Abuja is one of the best in Africa and it will soon be ready to host our national teams. The scoreboard has been restored and the pitch will be ready in July.” He added.
