Team Nigeria Maintain Lead As Africa Military Games Enters Last Day

With a day to the end of the 2024 Africa Military Games being staged in Abuja, Team Nigeria has maintained a superior lead.

Team Nigeria has amassed a whopping 192 medals, consisting of 90 Gold, 56 Silver and 46 Bronze medals.

They are followed by Algeria, who have 93 medals in 2nd place, and Kenya, 43 medals in the 3rd position.

One of the major highlights for Team Nigeria is the emergence of Private Blessing Akpan, who became the country’s first Gold medallist in the 100m Hurdles.
She clocked 15.51s to finish ahead of Ghana’s Stephanie Abu (15.54s).

Another personnel, Private Stella Ogu, took the Bronze.
