Belgian Jupiler League side Genk has opened discussion with English Championship side Southampton to take back Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu.
The lanky Nigerian striker joined the Saints during the winter transfer window but he was unable to stamp his authority in the team.
Southampton has commenced life in the Championship and Onuachu is yet to play a single minute for them as he nurses the ambition of returning to Belgium.
The English club is demanding a higher fee for Onauchu but Genk is ready to use Joseph Paintsil as a swap deal plus cash.
The discussion is expected to continue this week with Onuachu willing to be back in Belgium before the end of the week.
