U17 AFCON: CAF Publishes Squad List Of Eaglets Group Opponent Amidst Late Withdrawal

African Soccer governing body has finally released the squad list of the Junior Atlas Lions of Morocco despite not being sure of their participation.

The participation of Morocco in the biennial competition remained a big doubt following the closure of Algeria airspace to Moroccan flights.

The Atlas Lions refused to play in the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) due to the same issue.

The President of the Royal Morocco Football Federation Fouzi Lekja last week said the U17 team national team will travel to Algeria only to change his mind earlier this week.

The squad list published by CAF is made up of three goalkeepers, six defenders, nine midfielders and eight forwards.

The players selected by coach Saïd Chiba are dominated by players of the Mohammed VI Football Academy (AMF) and the club Fath Union Sports (FUS), with five players.
