U17 AFCON: Zambia Joins Golden Eaglets In Algeria

The teams that will participate in the 2023 U17 African Cup of Nations continue to secure their qualification ticket in their regional qualifiers.

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets are among the teams that qualified for the tournament earlier in the year after they emerged as the winner of the WAFU B regional qualifying tournament played in Gold Coast, Ghana.

The latest country to pick their qualification is the Junior Chipolopolo of Zambia which qualified through COSAFA regional qualifiers.

Zambia defeated Botswana 4-2 in the Semi-final of the COSAFA qualifier to secure its passage to the tournament in Algeria.

The semi-finalists in Algeria in 2023 will represent Africa in the FIFA U17 World Cup in Peru later in the year.
