Sfantul Gheorghe FC attacking midfielder, Maxmillian Ugochukwu Ihekuna brought smiles to the faces of some widows in his church, The Beloved Catholic Church, Old Army Barracks, Suleja by donating food items to them.
Maxmillian who was invited to be part of the U23 Eagles in the CAF U23 AFCON qualifier visited his church on Sunday March 26 and distributed food items to 20 widows.
According to him, it was part of his efforts to give back to the society where he grew up by distributing food items to widows.
One of the beneficiaries said, “we really appreciate this kind gesture and we pray to God to grant his prayers for putting smiles on our faces. We also pray that the spirits of those he provided food for will pave greater ways to him.
They further described Maxmillian as a rare gem that remembered the forgotten ones.
Maxmillian last season in the Moldovan league won the most beautiful goal of the season award.
According to a survey by moodfootball.com, Macmillian Ugochukwu in FC Sfintul Gheor’s victory over Dinamo-Auto, 4-0, received 18% of the votes of the respondents to win the most beautiful goal of the season.
Meanwhile, he was not fortunate enough to make the list of 18 boys that started the game for Nigeria against Guinea in both qualifying matches Abuja and Morocco. He will however be selected in his club starting XI in their next league match on 2nd April, 2023 against FC Milsami Orhei.
