Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen once again proved that his winning of African Player of the Year is no fluke as he scored in Napoli’s 2-0 win over Sporting Braga.
The Nigerian International was crowned African best player on Monday in Marrakech, Morocco and he was in Naples playing in the Champions League for Napoli 24 hours later.
The Italian champion dominated the game and their pressure forced Braga’s defender Sedar Saatci into scoring an own goal in the 9th minute.
Osimhen doubled the lead for the host in the 33rd minute and ensured a comfortable lead going into the halftime.
Osimhen was subbed off in the 69th minute and he received applause from the fans as the game ended 2-0 in favour of Napoli.
