Video: Ilaix Moriba proves exactly why Man United are keen with brilliant first Barcelona goal

Barcelona sensation Ilaix Moriba got off the mark in the club’s colours in spectacular fashion this evening.

Alba on target

Ronald Koeman’s men returned to action a short time ago, in a La Liga meeting with Osasuna.

The Blaugrana headed into proceedings with spirits high in the club’s camp, on the back of a trio of consecutive wins across all competitions.

The latest of these came during the week, when Barca overturned a 2-0 first-leg deficit to get the better of Sevilla, booking their spot in the finale of the Copa del Rey in the process.

And, when all was said and done this evening, the upturn in fortune being enjoyed by the Catalans only continued.

A solid display eventually saw the visitors emerge from El Sadar Stadium with all 3 points, courtesy of a 2-0 victory.

Jordi Alba got Barca on their way on the half-hour mark, latching onto Lionel Messi’s defence-splitting pass to rifle a stunning finish into the roof of the Osasuna net:

Moriba magic

Messi unsurprisingly also had a hand in the away side’s 2nd of the evening, bagging his 6th assist of the La Liga campaign.

On this occasion, though, the Argentine simply laid the ball off, before watching the latest up-and-coming La Masia talent do the rest.

The player in question? Ilaix Moriba.

18-year-old midfield prodigy Moriba has been in the headlines of late, after bagging a pair of assists across his first four senior outings in Blaugrana colours.

Such exploits have seen the Spaniard named as a target for some of European football’s biggest clubs, with Manchester United already rumoured to have tabled a ‘firm offer’ for his signature.

And tonight, Moriba showcased exactly why interest is mounting once more, with a wonderful drop of the shoulder, and left-footed strike:
