The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is expecting National U20 Coach Ladan Bosso to submit his final list for the forthcoming AFCON U20 championship coming up in Egypt on or before January 25th before they will forward same to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The Flying Eagles gaffer will also meet with the technical department of the NFF to defend the list of players shortlisted for the tournament.

CAF initially expect all 12 finalists for the U20 AFCON to submit their final squads on January 20 before another five day extension was given by the continental body.

However, team official said the NFF secretariat has said the deadline is now January 25.

This new date will allow several foreign-based call-ups to come in to be considered for places on the party to Egypt.

The Flying Eagles are also due to embark on a training tour of Morocco by the end of this month, before they hit Egypt.

Hosts Egypt and Mozambique and Senegal are the teams in the same group A with Nigeria. The biennial underage tournament commences 19th February and ends 11th March, 2023.

Seven times African champions, Nigeria will face Senegal on 19th February before engaging host, Egypt three days later. Flying Eagles will play their last group A match against Mozambique on 25th February, 2023.
